**Job brief**

**The Role**

The successful applicant will be the sole projects lead ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Co-ordinating internal resources as well as third party suppliers and contractors for the flawless execution of projects. The position will be interesting, varied and challenging, with excellent future prospects.

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting in the identification and planning of Customer, Commercial and hygiene audits
- Conducting Internal audits across the 13 stores in accordance with internal policies and procedures and relevant legislation
- Reviewing the risk register and incident log to identify areas that require further attention from internal audit
- Establishing a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks such as boilers, alarms and PAT testing.
- Execute gap analysis and create action plans to rectify issues
- Planning own workload to meet agreed audit schedules and other work priorities
- Creating and collating audit reports
- Ensuring a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
- Ensuring the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
- Ensuring the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations for both staff & contractors.
- Ensuring that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
- Ensuring that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.

**Requirements**:

- Proven track record in Auditing
- Experience with overseeing company internal and legal compliance
- NEBOSH qualified
- Experience with IAuditor software
- Detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation/ industry best practise.
- Experience within health and safety or other compliance related service
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with all project parties
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of appropriate software
- Able to use standard Microsoft office packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- A hands-on, can-do attitude with initiative to work well individually and in a team
