**Role Profile - Application Software Trainee**

**Role Purpose and Context**

**Accountable To**
- Professional Services Director

**Key Responsibilities**
- Participate in discovery, design, planning deployment. Development of generic software systems which can be resold to multiple parties. Development of software systems to meet the requirements of individual businesses but, wherever possible producing a customisable solution which can also be resold to other parties. Assist in the deployment and migration of our systems and technologies. Create software design documentation and specifications, ensuring the use of version control. Cost technical work with justification Lead by example, promoting technical excellence. Participate in discovery, design, planning deployment Work to agreed timescales and deadlines. Identifying project risks to Project Leads and Technical Leads. Work with fellow team members to promote and ensure best practise. Keep informed of the latest technologies and advising colleagues of developments. Carry out system work and technical testing as required.

**Knowledge / Experience - **Desirable

Knowledge or experience of IT software technologies.

Must have minimum 5 years in a customer service environment.

**Skills**
- Literate with good written & oral communication skills
- Ability to learn and understand technologies
- Ability to use initiative to think through problems to find solutions
- Highly organised
- Great eye for detail
- Prioritising calls/tickets
