**TP Tutors have some exciting and rewarding 1:1 SEN tuition roles in the Basildon area**

**Have you got experience of supporting children with needs? Are you looking to support one - to - one outside of mainstream schools?**

This SEN tutor role will be ideal if you are a newly qualified teacher, teaching assistant, SEN one-to-one or have any experience working with children and are looking for some flexible work.

**Summary of SEN Tutor Role**:

- Working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN) and providing support to children with ASD, SEMH or PMLD at their homes or a local area, e.g: library
- You will need to assess where the child is in their learning journey, and tailor a learning programme specific to their needs and academic goals
- You will need to track and log the pupils progress in our platform LEAP
- Skills and experience on keeping the child engaged with task and ensuring they can access the learning
- Managing behaviour and implementing a range of behaviour strategies

**What we are looking for in a SEN tutor**:

- SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or any other)
- Able to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing sessions
- Experience with working with children with challenging behaviour
- Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback

Working hours are between Monday to Friday, 09:00 -16:00 approximately.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
