This exciting new opportunity has been created that will put the Students' Union at the centre of a thriving, diverse community of students using both on-line and off-line channels.
The role will be instrumental in supporting the Head of Marketing and Innovation to bring a fresh and energetic perspective that will bring our values to life, keep students coming back for more, build pride in our Union and inspire significant numbers ofstudents to speak positively about what we do.
This is a generalist role which covers all aspects of marketing and events which includes:
- Producing a wide range of content that supports the brand and marketing strategy.
- Improving the effectiveness of digital marketing activities.
- Leading on the development and execution of events and taking a pro-active and co-ordinating role as required.
- Mentoring, supervising and developing a pool of student staff talent.
- Producing and presenting high quality documents and data visuals that support evidence based decision making.
- Liaising with the University marketing team to ensure a joined-up approach to marketing.
**You**:
We are looking for someone who:
- Is educated to degree level.
- Has a proven track record in a similar marketing role (min 3 years).
- Understands how to use market research to gain insight.
- Has experience of delivering events.
- Is commercially minded.
- Can deliver with passion and energy.
- Is flexible, organised and adaptable to change.
- Can establish good working relationships in a multicultural and diverse environment.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
