Mechanical Supervisor

Overview / Responsibilities:
**Mechanical Supervisor - Redcar (Site Based)**

Wood Process & Energy is seeking experienced Mechanical Supervisors with demonstrable expertise in Static Equipment, Vessel Internals and Rotating Equipment Installation to provide services for 9 months on a major Construction EPCm energy project.

The opportunity will ensure preparation and development of task specific RAMS for activities within appointed areas of responsibility, undertaking safety analysis of activities in the area and implement any necessary actions to ensure efficient delivery of the work scope.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with management, attend meetings and provide timely feedback of ongoing status or completion of the task
- Monitor Mechanical contractor performance against the schedule
- Ensure all necessary manufacturer installation recommendations are followed, including preservation requirements
- Be conversant with best practice workmanship and basic Q.A. principles, Completions & Turnover Systems
- Review contractor daily allocation and prepare for self performed construction tasks to the specific project requirements
- Support supervisor skill assessment of workforce
- Monitor and ensure compliance to SHE and quality standards in the area
- Support delivery of toolbox talks on immediate safety and quality issues
- Advise the Area Superintendent of any workflow problems, which may affect project duration
- Resolve any process / maintenance interface problems
- Ensure all work is efficient delivery and submitted into the project completion system against agreed schedule dates
- Support the Area Superintendent in de-briefing sessions
- Co-ordinate and manage workflow process to provide access, materials, and associated subcontractors

Skills / Qualifications:

- Demonstrable experience in Mechanical Construction with an auditable track record of consistently good performance
- Have a working knowledge of the NAECI Agreement and ensure implementation of current practices
- Technical apprenticeship or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience in Vessel Internal Tray Installation and Rotating Equipment Installation

**Ideally you will also have experience in**:

- Installation of Industrial Machinery and Material Handling Equipment
