The MindSphere DevOps organisation at Siemens Digital Industry Software is seeking a Head of Operations. Accountable to the Head of R&D, you will lead a global team responsible for FinOps, provisioning, deployment and operations of MindSphere Public Cloud and MindSphere Private Cloud offering in our customers' VPC and LPC infrastructure. The Ops team also includes Central Infrastructure Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering leaders supporting DevOps practice and critical account and infrastructure administration across R&D.

**What you'll be doing**

We need you to lead and coach the MindSphere Ops organisation on its journey of continuous improvement and excellence to achieve world class availability, resiliency and service for our customers and best practice across R&D (development & operations).

In addition to providing project management and scheduling of Ops team delivery, your role as an ambassador for MindSphere will include meeting with IT leaders at our largest customers to ensure MindSphere meets the needs of the current/future Cloud IT infrastructure.

A conduit between the technical and non-technical, you'll be the outward facing interface to our customers’ IT leaders to align the IT expectations and needs for MindSphere operations in the customer’s VPC or LPC on-premise that Siemens operates as SaaS.

**What you'll bring**
- Ability to lead, motivate, and nurture a geographically distributed team, acting as a role model, you will build a culture of collaboration & trust
- International travel will be required so you will be happy to meet Technology leaders at our customers locations
- Solid understanding and experience of current and future IT landscape for Enterprise customers operating in the Cloud and/or in LPC (Local Private Cloud)
- Familiarity with the security and IT landscape for Cloud and Enterprise software, in particular network topologies and challenges

**Nice if you have**
- Background in running IT operations of Cloud services and/or products
- Technical experience with deploying, operating or developing software in VPC and/or LPC (OpenShift, Rancher)
- Knowledge of K8 landscape (OpenShift, Rancher)
- Experience of devising and operating to SLA, SLI & SLO KPIs
- Led a globally distributed team
- A grounding in SRE and Infrastructure Engineering
