We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Community Eating Disorders service in Norwich as a Systemic Practitioner
You should be motivated, have good interpersonal skills, personal resilience, and enthusiasm for working with people and their Families.
NICE guidelines’ highlight the importance of both Family Therapy & CBT when treating young people with an eating disorders, with these therapeutic models remaining central to the treatments we offer. As a systemic practitioner you will be joining a service that already has a family approach strongly embedded within it, with this being further enhanced by the current rollout of the FT-AN (Maudsley) model across the service line. As a systemic practitioner you will be clinically supervised and therapeutically supported by a qualified family therapist and AFT accredited supervisor from within the ED speciality. More broadly, there is also a rich tradition within the eating disorders service of teaching, training, and clinical supervision which we see as essential, if we are to maintain and improving the quality of services we already provide to the local communities across Norfolk.

Building therapeutic relationships with people and their family/carers.

Manage a caseload of people with an eating disorder, focusing on their mental health and physical health needs.

Liaising with other health, social care and education professionals to ensure joined up care.

Maintain a high standard of clinical work in compliance with NICE guidelines for eating disorders and the Care Quality Commission.

Maintain accurate and clear documentation and offer clear communication.

Undertake Duty work on a roster basis, Triage new referrals into the service jointly with MDT, carry out assessments Jointly with MDT, co-produce care plans and risk assessments/contingency planning with young people and their families.
