To be considered for the role of Trainee Teaching Assistant you will: Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people Be passionate and driven about improving the outcomes for children and young people.

**About the role**:

- 1:1 support with children from age 5-19.
- Provide calming and nurturing support for some of the most vulnerable students with EHCP's.
- Working with small groups of children providing intervention support.
- Working with children with a range of complex needs.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members.

**About the school**:
Depending on the role and the school, you will be working with the class teacher to manage behaviour, support with interventions, and provide additional support to children with SEND.

You will assist the class teacher with reporting on pupil progress and behaviour, and help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

- Be able to demonstrate at interview the reasons why you want to start a career in education
- Can demonstrate confidence and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
- The patience and care that is needed to support children with SEN.
- Provide a high standard of support for children with autism and SEN.
- A passion for education and improving attainment for children with SEN.
- A passion for working with children with a range of complex needs and learning disabilities.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- Five days experience working with children or young people and willing to pay for a DBS.
