The Lighting Consultants is a specialist automotive lighting company in Redditch specialising in luxury brands and vehicles. We are looking to expand our team and take on an experienced Electronics Engineer to help us in these exciting times. The role requiresa fresh thinking, dynamic individual who can combine experience and enthusiasm to help us execute flawless delivery.
This position requires the ability to both work from home & when necessary, from the TLC manufacturing facility. Travel to the manufacturing facility (located in Redditch) will be required for delivery of the key responsibilities and face-to-face meetings.

Our founding Director, Chris Eardley, was already well established as one of the key automotive lighting specialists. He realised that there is a better way to do automotive lighting, so now that’s what we do
We started our consultancy to help our customers get the products they need, and their end-users ultimately deserve. We have been a leading automotive lighting manufacturer for over 4 years
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Analysis of customer requirements & Liaise with our clients
- PCB design - schematic capture and layout for a mix of analog and digital circuits
- Supporting the test and manufacturing team
- Working understanding of software development (C)
- Problem solving techniques to develop and quantify product design
- Work to company maturation planning
- Actively own and progress all design activities to completion
- Implement & develop creative solutions to engineering problems
**Required Experience**:
- A Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering discipline
- Competent user of MS office packages
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Designing and maintenance of electronic equipment - LED functionality would be advantageous
- An understanding of mix signal circuits
- Supporting various OEMs with the functionality of the LED systems
- Experience of full lifecycle design for electronics devices
- A thorough attention to detail
- Willingness to travel across the UK and abroad
- Experience working closely with internal and external customers
- Be self-motivated
- Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom
- Full UK Driving licence
**Desirable Experience**:
- Knowledge of design for automotive based products or an understanding of cost sensitive design
- Understanding of embedded firmware and ability to programme microcontrollers using embedded C
- Experience with electrical models, simulation and WCCA
- Experience with DVP&R and DFMEA creation & execution
- Experience with electronic thermal strategies; thermal analysis, heatsinks, PCB thermal vias
- Familiarity with Automotive Software Development standards
- ECE & SAE lighting regulations
- Homologation process
- Releasing designs to NPI
- Issue management & sign off
- Specification management
