**Are you an experienced Support worker or have you completed training which enables you to support people with additional needs? Are you looking for an opportunity to transfer your experience/training into a role working with children?**

**Primary schools** in **Coventry** are looking to recruit Support Workers to work as **SEN Teaching assistants.**

Mainstream primary schools support pupils with a wide range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition. Due to the specific needs of the pupils, schools are now looking to appoint a support worker who can use their training, experience, and personalitiesto support the young people as Teaching assistants in the classroom in both Key Stages 1 ad 2.

The available positions will involve working directly with pupils who have Autism and complex needs, so we are ideally looking for Support workers who have significant experience working with children or adults who have additional and complex needs.

The ideal Support worker for this SEN Teaching assistant position will have:

- Experience working with individuals with SEN in any capacity
- Experience working within a Care or Residential Sector
- Experience de-escalating challenging behaviours and children in crisis
- Be able to provide 2 references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
