WE ARE RECRUITING:
AD HOC PALLIATIVE SUPPORT WORKERS
TO JOIN OUR HOSPICE AT HOME BANK STAFF
Caring for someone in the final weeks and months of their life is challenging and demanding, but it is also an uplifting and rewarding experience. We are looking to supplement our Hospice at Home team with ad hoc Healthcare Assistants with experience in caring for adults an NVQ Level 2 Care would be desirable, but not essential.
You will be required to visit patients within their own home, sometimes working alone, providing nursing care under the direction of the Clinical Services Team Leader. Having an understanding of the principles of palliative care would be beneficial.
Various hours and shifts will be available, sometimes at short notice.
Applicants need to be a vehicle owner with full clean driving licence. Mileage is paid monthly at 45pence per mile.
Pay: £12.21 per hour, enhancements are paid for unsocial hours (9pm-onwards and Saturdays: £16.28, Sundays and Bank Holidays: £20.35)
**Retainer rate paid during downtime: £6.17**
