The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on children’s mental health and on pupil absenteeism as a result. A key focus here at Cardinal Langley moving forwards is to look at ways of improving pupil attendance and punctuality and raising achievement through the implementation of targeted strategies and by building close, positive relationships with families where there are barriers to learning.
Governors have therefore created this new post of Pastoral Officer (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
You will also be responsible for other pastoral and administrative tasks linked to the role. Please refer to the job description and person specification for more details.
Working hours are anticipated to be 8:00am until 4:00pm, although there is some flexibility which can be discussed at interview, and will incorporate a 36-minute daily, unpaid break.
**We anticipate that interviews will take place on Wednesday 16**th** October 2024.**

- Proof of right to work in the UK (please refer to the id checklist)
Please note: All documents must be originals we cannot accept scans or photocopies. If you cannot produce the required documentation within the given timescale, it may result in any offer of employment being withdrawn.
**Safeguarding**: Cardinal Langley RC High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and Procedures can be found** **here**.
This post is exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 by virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and you will be required to self-disclose any relevant criminal history if shortlisted (Rehabilitation of Offenders Declaration).
