Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an ambitious **Local Authority**in the**Home Counties region** who are recruiting for a **Childcare Solicitor**to join their department on a permanent basis.

Salary**:£47,573.00 to £51,576.00**

Skill level**:Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive**

Main Accountabilities:
- Providing a service of legal advice and practice to the Council specialising in Childcare Law
- Conducting own advocacy in court where required
- Attending such meetings of Full Council, Executive, Committees and Working Groups as required
- Providing legal advice and carrying out research
- Undertaking any other duties as requested by the Service Manager (ACE) and the Assistant Chief Executive (Governance)
- Assisting the Solicitor to the Council in carrying out their monitoring role

**A salary of £47,573.00 to £51,576.00 is offered depending on experience as well as a number of other excellent benefits**:

- Competitive salary with incremental rises each year* (until the top of the salary grade is reached) and nationally agreed cost of living awards
- Minimum of 26 days' annual leave, rising to 31 days after five years' local government service. This is exclusive of bank holidays
