**Job description**:
**About our Major Projects and Programmes team (MPP)/Navy and Maritime team**:
The DIO Commercial Programmes team provides the Commercial horsepower for the delivery teams that are procuring the most significant construction programmes across the UK and NI Defence Estate.

The Commercial Programmes team deliver over 140 infrastructure projects across UK and NI that are supporting critical Front Line command operations amounting to a managed portfolio of circa £4bn.

The team currently amounts to over 50 staff within the MPP portfolio and we have a number of opportunities within Commercial Programmes due to growth.

**As a Commercial Practitioner in the Major Projects and Programmes/Navy and Maritime team**:
You will have a background in projects and construction which may range from cost management to programme delivery. You will support and deliver capital projects across the defence estate and be part of delivering a unique and complex infrastructure for Front Line Command.

Alongside this you are required to work across different phases of the commercial lifecycle and support strategic relationships with suppliers and senior internal stakeholders, while building collaboration within and across organisational boundaries.

You will be supporting key sourcing activities to meet project goals while minimising risk and ensuring value for money is considered as well as bringing imagination to solve operational challenges on a sound Commercial basis.

You will be accountable for ensuring adherence to and conformity with all agreed DIO processes and operating procedures, and particularly those which are detailed under the key infrastructure process for Commercial and relate to end to end project management. Overall, this will provide a resilient and efficient infrastructure support across the MOD’s estates
