Mploy are working with a national drink’s distributor based in Southampton. We are seeking a Transport Manager to now join the team. You will manage the Transport Operation (Drivers / Mates and Transport planning) on a day-to-day basis, maintaining thehighest customer services requirements and H&S standards at lowest delivery costs.
**You will**:

- Lead, coach and manage a team of c.50 staff.
- Act following the company’s values and management principles
- Provide the team with expert knowledge, advice, leadership, motivating and addressing areas for improvement
- Management of all transport functions including, but not limited to, compliance, planning, continuous improvement.
- Ensure the fleet of vehicles is maintained to regulatory standards.
- Ensure drivers and mates adhere to best practice and the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), using them to plan and lead working practices.
- To regularly review delivery routes to identify improvements to customer service whilst minimising costs of delivery.
- To carry out suitable Induction & H&S training for all new entrants & refresher training, as required, for all existing staff.
- To ensure that a comprehensive program of training is identified & implemented to meet all existing H&S requirements.
- Prepare driver tachographs for monthly analysis and ensure MC drivers work within all Legal requirements of Drivers Hours & Working time Directives.

**You will have**:

- Previous experience of distribution/transportsouthampton
- Transport Office Experience
- Customer Service Skills
- Good IT Skills
- Experience of Managing People
- Knowledge of Drivers Hours Regulations
- Experience of Planning Systems
- CPC National (TM)
