Quotations Designer

Hinckley, United Kingdom Hammonds Full time

At Hammonds, we aim to engage and inspire our people to be passionate about delivering exciting design, innovative storage solutions, well-made furniture and excellent customer service.

We are currently searching for a **creative individual with a flair for design** to join our business as a **Quotations Designer **on a full-time, permanent basis. Based at our main operational centre in Hinkley, you will be a part of a small but expanding team within our Trade and New Homes Division.

Using your technical awareness and ability to read architects drawings, you will utilise CAD software to build and design CAD layouts for our New Build customers, helping to bring our customers storage solutions to life with beautifully well-designed furniture.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The New Homes and Trade division wouldn't be complete without our **Quotes Designer** team as they support and develop relationships with our customers right from the very beginning.

Here is what you’ll do:

- Prior to producing any CAD design, we want to ensure our customers experience the right design, right first time. This is why you will go above and beyond to check details and clarify information with customers prior to designing, and ensure all quotation queries are registered on our central system.
- Using your attention to detail, you will check through specifications and drawings to ensure our CAD layouts are accurate, in line with customers’ requirements and timeline deadlines.
- Here is the part where your passion for design comes in. Using your creative flair, you will create quotations with plans, elevation and imagery, bringing our customer’s designs to life.
- Using your problem-solving skills and technical aptitude, you will produce or amend a design accordingly, to ensure it closely matches our customers’ expectations.

We are looking for someone to eventually **become a ‘Lead Designer’ **on key accounts and work with our internal and external customers, acting as key point of contact from a design perspective.

AM I SUITABLE FOR THIS ROLE?

Whilst experience using 2020 and ArtiCAD would be advantageous, it is not necessary. We believe that product knowledge can be learned, so all that we ask is that you are computer literate, (Microsoft Office, Word and Excel) have excellent planning and organisation skills and can work on your own initiative.

Good communication skills and the ability to focus on the detail are equally important, along with a passion for delivering high quality customer service.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We aim to inspire personal and professional growth in our people, as we believe our employees are our greatest asset and we strive to attract, develop and retain the best talent by providing a challenging and rewarding environment. Along with our attractive salaries, commitment to personal and professional development, and contributory pension scheme, we offer a suite of benefits that we believe help our people live better in life and work.

Benefits include:

- 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
- Healthcash Plan
- Preferential PCP Car Leasing Scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Staff Discount Scheme
- On-site Café
- Perkbox
- Refer a Friend Scheme
- Service Recognition Scheme
