**Approx 32 hours per week. Working on a shift pattern so must be flexible. Every other weekend.**

**JOB SUMMARY**

Support of the hotel services function to ensure a high quality and comprehensive care service is delivered to residents.

**SPECIFIC DUTIES**

Ø Helps to maintain a ‘homely’ and pleasant environment for resident’s and colleagues

Ø Plans and delivers a comprehensive cleaning schedule to ensure that the facility and all furnishings are clean and tidy at all times

Ø Assists with the induction and orientation of new members of the team

Ø Ensures that all cleaning equipment is used and stored safely

Ø Reports any defects, faults or maintenance requirements to cleaning equipment or furnishings

Ø Uses and stores cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations

Ø Carries out stock takes and orders cleaning consumables.

Ø Safe use and storage of equipment, COSHH and cleaning products, ensuring all regulations are adhered to

Ø Ensures equipment and machinery are kept in good working order and that faults are reported immediately

Ø Ensures all laundry is regularly removed from resident areas

Ø Check items for damage or stains ensuring all clothing is labelled

Ø Carries out small repairs to clothing as required

Ø Sorts out items by colour, size, fabric type and appropriate cleaning process

Ø Treats stains using appropriate products prior before processing

Ø Finishes articles by drying, pressing and folding

Ø Returns all clean linen, ensuring linen cupboards are neat and tidy at all times

Ø Returns all clean clothing to residents and ensures they are neatly stored in rooms

Ø Ensures the laundry area remains clean and tidy at all times and carries out routine cleaning and maintenance of laundry equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance requirements

Ø Ensures adequate stocks of laundry and cleaning products are available at all times

Ø

These duties are not exhaustive. Job holders may be asked to undertake other responsibilities, within their spheres of responsibility and competence

Ø COSHH / Health and Safety

**Salary**: £10.18-£10.42 per hour
