I am currently recruiting a new Sales Ledger Clerk to work for a well known chain of restaurants with their Head Office based in Soho, Central London.
**Client Details**
My client owns some of the best known restaurants in the High Street. With Covid restrictions being lifted they have seen a welcome return of customers to their restaurants. As a result they their finance team have seen an increased workload and are nowlooking to hire a new Sales Ledger Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 2-3 years experience looking for a new role in London.
**Description**
**Sales Ledger Clerk, London**
- Importing sales into the Sage on a weekly basis and checking that it agrees to Stocklink
- Recording cash differences from Stocklink on a weekly basis, check and chase over and under banking
- Recording weekly sales spreadsheet
- Importing the bank statement information into the Sage (Amex, Cash, CC's, Payments, Receipts) on a weekly basis
- Making sure all codes are correct
- Checking that the VAT calculation is correct
- Reconciling the petty cash on the Sage
- Reconciling the aged debtors as required
- Investigate differences, query any differences with the relevant people, keeping a query log and updating once resolved
- Dealing with chargeback letters from global payments
- Reconciling the bank statements as required
- Meet all sales & cash banking period deadlines
- Checking weekly paperwork from restaurants - signed float, overbanking etc..
- Banking books - keep recording any send out books or in
- Update weekly sales every Tuesday
- Merchant ID spreadsheet check and update every 6 months
