Hours 8 hours per day between 7am - 7pm

Some evening, overnight and weekend hours will be required once trained.

**Brief Description**

*Matilda is fun loving, smiley 14yr old girl who lives with her family in South Warrington. *M has an acquired brain injury resulting in cerebral palsy and requires support for her needs including hygiene cares, medication administration, regular physiotherapy, and gastrostomy feeds.

*M is a bright girl with a great sense of humour who loves to be kept busy, she especially likes to bake, go horse riding, reading stories, physical activities, crafts and enjoys listening to music, especially musicals.

**Your Role**

*Matilda requires a caring, attentive, and professional rehabilitation support worker to provide a range of learning activities and stimulating activities which will support her cognitive and physical development. The support worker will encourage *M to communicate more effectively using her computer. As *Matilda is home schooled your role will be varied, enjoyable, and very rewarding you’ll be working closely with the therapy team and medical experts following plans.

You will be working within a friendly and warm family environment in a fully adapted home. You’ll receive comprehensive training, previous similar experience is desirable but not essential, but you must have a passion for delivering the individual needs of this role. It’s an active role as you will be going on fast long walks and regular kneeling/floor work.

The most important thing for this family is to find a rehabilitation support worker who is eager to learn, energetic and keen to engage with *M.

You also need to provide a degree of flexibility with hours and days, notice will be given for any changes to the regular rota.

The family also have pets so you will need to be comfortable around animals.
- *An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will be requested. _The post applied for is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) (Amendment) Order 1986 and therefore you are required to disclose your criminal background_
- *The post is compliant in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 relating to Occupational Requirements for a female or male worker if specified._
