I suffered a brain injury at birth. I am highly dependent, requiring full assistance with personal care and activities of daily living. I am Nil-By-Mouth and have a gastrostomy for all of my nutrition, medication and hydration needs. I have a permanent tracheostomy, which requires regular suctioning.
