Here at Lifeways in Walsall we are looking for Support Workers to join our fantastic team. Ideally you will have previous experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant. If you are new to care but have a passion for helping others lead their most independent lives, then Lifeways can offer you excellent training and ongoing support to enable you to enjoy a rewarding career with us.
Both residents at this service are less active due to medical conditions, they do however love home activities such as baking, arts and crafts and music. Fun out going support staff and staff with a positive attitude would fit in well and staff that are happy to be accessing lots of activities in the community but calm ones. 1 Male and one female in the unit.
The Individuals at this service will require support with all mobility needs and will be required to monitor closely due to having history of Seizures and diabetes will also need to be monitored.
The PWS will need support and help with cooking, cleaning and all medication and finances.
This role requires someone that is outgoing, positive, fun, and chatty able to be active and organized and be able to encourage PWS day to day.
Common Interests in things they enjoy doing Elvis Music, Love getting out and about, Shopping, Pub lunches, enjoy reading / love for books, Singing and doing crosswords as well and love for food and cooking.
