The role of Senior Peer Navigation Worker has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of recovery from mental health challenges and experience of professionally utilising these experiences within mental health settings.
Through sharing wisdom from their own experiences, Senior Peer Navigation Worker will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others. In addition to this, the role will also help clients to address any unmet social needs they may be facing.
After completing a comprehensive holistic needs assessment you will support clients to navigate their way through the various systems such as benefits and housing as well as support individuals to access community groups, support groups, therapeutic activities and set vocational goals. The service is tailored to each individual needs and is a truly person-centered approach to empowering clients.
The role will be based within the Brent Mental Health Service within the CNWL NHS Trust.
You will report directly to the Rethink Service Manager and you will have supervisory experience of up to 6 Peer Navigation Workers who work across 3 hubs in the London Borough of Brent.
The Rethink service consists of a Service Manager, Befriending and Volunteer Coordinator, 2 substance misuse worker, Senior Peer Navigation Worker, 4 Peer Navigation Workers and 2 Young Adults Navigation Workers.
We are integrated into the CNWL NHS mental health team and we will be working alongside other health care professionals and operational staff.
The role will be a combination of fixed base and home working. You will work full time, 35 hours per week on permanent £25,690 to £28,087 (London Weighting) per annum.
