Industrial Services / Industrial Cleaning Operative ( HP Jetting)

Position based at Darlington - DL1 4PZ but will involve UK travel on a daily /routine basis - including overnight stays and work away from home ( + some weekend/bank holiday /call-out work).

Normal Working hours: 40hrs per week as required by customer demands.

Due to the nature of the work - daily start and finish times will vary.

Standby/ Emergency call-out: May be required to respond to out of hours calls and attend site out of hours where operations dictate, and be comfortable with assisting in environmental response.

As this can involve out of hours work/call-out - driving licence and own vehicle is preferred.

Other works: At times of low customer demand
- staff are retained by the Company, and utilised across other parts of the business ( including recycling and hazardous waste ((after training)) - this may involve routine labouring / cleaning duties.

This may also include non-jetting work at customer sites.

Job purpose: To undertake Industrial Services work at various sites across the UK - carrying out industrial cleaning of chemical process and storage areas.

This includes tank cleaning, HP water Jetting, confined space and work using breathing apparatus.

Assistance with re-certification available.

To work with the on-site teams assisting in the planning of large and small industrial cleaning tasks, viewing proposed work, ensuring it is undertaken in accordance with expected timescales and all RAMS.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensuring the successful and most cost-effective method of completion of all work to the agreed programme with absolute regard for health and safety.

REQUIRED SKILLS/CERTIFICATION:
HP Water Jetting certification/experience ( Preferred)

Breathing Apparatus certification/experience ( Preferred)

Confined Space certification / experience ( Preferred)

Current driving licence (preferably with towing capacity)

Possible trainee opportunities for persons with some experience of any of the above, and willingness to learn.

OTHER SKILLS /EXPERIENCE

IOSH (Working / Managing Safely or similar) or Safety Passport.

Basic Pay £13.00 - when working on customer site

Overnight Expenses payments - by job when working away.
