**Summary**

The Chimes Residential Care Home is a Residential Care Home situated in Penkhull Stoke on Trent.

We are looking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced full time cook who will lead our busy kitchen for a minimum 3/4 days per week (holiday cover expected).

Enhancements include: Employee of the Month scheme and additional holiday incentive.

To be responsible for all catering in the home.

To maintain daily records and weekly/monthly checks.

To provide a high standard of varied menus, reflecting individual dietary requirements.

To ensure consistency of high quality food is maintained in the kitchen.

To manage and order stocks of food working within a budget.

To maintain a clean, safe kitchen to the standard required.

To work in partnership with the Kitchen Assistant and the rest of the staff team.

Minimum of two years experience in a similar environment preferred.

Minimum of Level 2 in Food Safety and Hygiene essential.

Ability to work under pressure, friendly and positive attitude, honest and reliable, use own initiative.

Present a smart appearance and a polite and friendly manner.

3/4 days a week (flexible) - (7am -2pm)

**Rates of pay are higher than national average**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24-32 per week

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour
