Senior Grants Officer - 2 positions available

The Grant Management Service (GMS) will play a crucial role in the delivery of several key grant schemes and programmes being delivered by the Economy and Skills Service (ESS). From the completion of the European funding programmes to the delivery of the new national government funds through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Town Deal amongst others. The GMS supports other parts of the Economy and Skills Service to deliver these Programmes through the provision of a comprehensive GMS, from providing specialist technical advice, creation of systems and processes, appraising of projects, decision making on investments, contracting, claims and monitoring for projects and programmes, audit and compliance, Programme Management and performance monitoring, budgeting and finance processing.

The Senior Grants Officer will support the Grants Manager and Assistant Grants Manager to deliver effective, accurate and compliant delivery and administration of the funds and programmes supported by the service.

Activities will include but are not limited to:

- Contract Management
- Managing Project Change processes on project portfolio
- Involvement in Project Claim processes
- Undertaking Project Performance monitoring and reporting
- Contributing to system and process developments for Funds/programmes
- Audit, document management, record keeping and ensuring compliance
- Maintaining effective and professional relationships with stakeholders/partners, applicants and colleagues.

The post holder will work closely with the Good Growth Hub, Community Levelling Up Partnerships, existing project leads, Town Deal Boards and other colleagues in the Economy and Skills Service to ensure the successful delivery of the various Funds/Programmes.
