Accommodation, Housing and Welfare Officer, based Oxfordshire. This is a permanent vacancy offered on a permanent full-time basis, with hybrid work options and an annual salary at £30,000. Responsible for the daily management of your own case load of around200 service users, following strict introduction and dispersal of new and existing services users into and out of properties primarily in the Swindon area.
This role requires a compassionate and customer focused individual, someone who will work closely with service users to help sign post to a range of local services, arranging the registration of GP,s Dentists, Schools and future employers, assisting withthe smooth transition of housing and community placement.
As an Accommodation, Housing and Welfare Officer, you will be responsible for conducting regular welfare checks, conducting regular property inspections, assessing any maintenance requirements, liaising with trades and facilities in order to repair/maintainand replace any household requirement. Naturally the role will require you to arrange for alternative accommodation is issues arise, reviewing current living places meet the requirement and that properties are prepared pre-moving in date.
Reporting to the Area Housing Team Leader you will update and record on all activities, planning and organising jobs and tasks in line with the required standards. Attending team meetings, supporting new team members, managing high levels of verbal and writtencommunication and ensuring that the services are available for all service users on a 24 hour basis.
Additional duties will include full liaison with multi agency providers, local authorise, Police and Emergency services (if required) The DWP and local council. You will be responsible for managing and monitoring your own workloads, arranging cover wherenecessary and keeping thew wider housing team updated on all activities. Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel) are required.
