Work within a national team of Renal transport coordinators, responsible for the coordination / monitoring of all aspects of the day-to-day transport provision for renal patients.
We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, organised who can work as part of a team and can also work unsupervised.
The role will is predominately office based so computer and phone skills is essential.
To support the delivery of a customer focused approach to the provision of renal transport in Wales through the effective supervision of patient journeys.
Responsible for coordinating patient journey information and planning optimum patient journey/masks and assisting day controllers/planning throughout Wales with the quality assurance of live renal transport journeys.
Act as a main point of communication between renal patients, renal dialysis units and transport providers control teams throughout Wales.
To book ambulance transport for our enhanced care patients on our advanced patient transport system, computed aided dispatch.
Communicating with controllers and planners to ensure our service level agreements are met and patients experience.
We make decisions that benefit patients and users of our services by appropriate use of the tools, systems and environments which enable us to work competently, safely and effectively. We actively innovate, adapt and reduce inappropriate variation whilst being mindful of the appropriate evidence base to guide us.
To support the Renal services manager in resolving operational issues relating to transport complaints from units and staff.
Liaise with all transport clinical contact centre staff throughout Wales in order to maintain quality standards for renal patients and to assist problem solving in relation to resource allocation where needed.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
