Our role as an auditor is to act independently to support trust and integrity in the business. We provide a wide range of public sector bodies across local government, NHS, police, fire and national parks. We audit over 300 public sector bodies includingsome of the largest councils and NHS bodies in the country. We pride ourselves on the high-level standards and quality we expect from our people.

In our role as external auditor, as well as the audit of financial statements, we are required to assess the economy, effectiveness and efficiency of public bodies in their use of public resources (sometimes knowns as the Value for Money (VfM) conclusion).We are looking for people with appropriate skills to support our work on assessing the financial sustainability, governance and service performance of local government, police, fire and NHS bodies,

**Skills we’re looking for**
- Professional qualification ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, CIPFA or similar.
- Experience of working with local government, police, fire or NHS bodies in external or internal audit capacity.
- We envisage some knowledge of local authority and NHS finance and a reasonably good understanding of the governance and service performance of these sectors.
- Knowledge of Value for Money audit is beneficial.
- We envisage that this role would suit managers, senior managers or directors.

The interview process will begin with a pre-screening discussion with one of our recruiters where we’ll want to learn more about your skills, motivations, interests and preferred way of working. If there’s interest to continue, we’ll invite you to an interviewwith some of our key business leads that you may eventually work with. For some areas, there may be an additional requirement for a case or technical assessment as part of the interview process. If successful, the final step will be to complete the contractingprocess and background checks.

Once your offer has been signed, you’ll be invited to join our Agile Talent Community and you’ll be ready to start working with our team to find the right opportunity You’ll have a relationship manager that will be dedicated to your success, making sureyou are aware of the training, development and networking opportunities available as well as being setup correctly to match you with the right projects based off your availability and skill sets.
