**The Role**

We have a brand-new role for a BI or Data Analyst with skills in SQL and a dashboarding tool (one of Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS and Qlik) to work with a growing company, based in the Huddersfield on a hybrid basis.

You will be owning daily reporting, in depth analysis and we are really looking for someone to improve and streamline the business reporting solution. They use reporting internally as well as for their clients and there is a large amount of data that iscollected.

For this role we do not need a specific reporting tools, any of PowerBI or similar will be fine. You will need some skills in SQL and Excel would be useful. In this role you will be training / mentoring / upskilling an apprentice who is already in place.

This is a great opportunity to really put your own stamp on all things data within the business and really own that space in a newly created role.

PLEASE NOTE - the interview process for this:
The interview process is 2 stages, an initial TEAMS conversation then a Face-to-Face interview for which you will be given a data set and asked to present some findings. These face-to-face interviews will take place on 9th March at their office.

**Your responsibilities in this role will be**:

- Mine and analyse large datasets to interpret trends or patterns and present them successfully to management using an appropriate reporting tool.
- Filter and clean data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and data anomalies / problems
- Monitor/audit data quality & integrity and deduce vital data-fix corrections
- Work closely with and provide support to, IT to ensure bug-fixes deliver the required data confidence
- Provide consultative advice on the implementation of databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other process / procedures or strategies to optimise data efficiency and quality
- Liaise with internal and external partners to fully understand data content
- Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
- Create spreadsheets, data dashboards, graphs and visualisations to convey a data-lead story Locate and define new process improvement opportunities in order to increase reporting efficiency
- Mentor and help develop our Data Analyst Apprentice

**The Company**

The company are growing quickly, and they collect a lot of data, so they are looking really start to streamline their data processes as well as make large upgrades to their reports in way they are used, the amount of reporting that is done but most importantlythe quality of the reports and insights generated.

The office is based in Huddersfield and because you will be managing a training an apprentice, they are operating a hybrid working model with 3 days a week in the office.

**Requirements**:

- SQL - need to be able to manipulate databases and extract data
