Forklift Operator

**We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Forklift Drivers (Holding a Reach, Counterbalance & Scissor lift licence) to join the team.**

**Duties**:

- Operating a reach truck to load and unload delivery vehicles, moving items around the warehouse to their locations and wrapping pallets.
- Keep in clear communication with all areas of the business that rely on the picking function
- Working WMS system in the Cold store, ensure that all data and records are maintained accurately as required.
- Maintain traceability of product throughout the whole warehouse process
- Keep production lines supplied with pallets and labels.
- Report defective equipment and fabrication to Head of Warehouse, Facilities and Estate, Warehouse Manager, Cold store Supervisor.
- Ensure that product quality, production and customer presentation or specifications are met.
- Ensure basic food hygiene rules are obeyed at all times, maintaining good standards of general housekeeping ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow safe working practises in accordance with company procedures and Health and Safety responsibilities.
- Safe forklift truck operation.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:

- Ability to stack finished product cases onto customer pallets & wrap pallets securely to ensure safe transport and storage.
- Ability to fetch and load packaging items, pallets and waste material.
- Experience of recording technical and production information on check sheets accurately, including batch information and area temperature monitoring.
- Ability to assist stock control and stock rotation, with attention to detail.
- Experienced in dealing with incoming goods and completion of the associated paperwork.
- Ability to work at a speed (In a safe manner) that will ensure production efficiencies and targets are met.
- Knowledge, Ability and Experience of food hygiene, to be obeyed at all times by all staff, maintaining good standards of general housekeeping ensuring a clean and safe environment, including keeping accurate cleaning records of all warehouse/cold stores and yard areas (including storage containers).
- Able to work well & lead within a team and to work on your own initiative.
- Ability and possession of good planning and organisation skills.
- Ability and possession of good working knowledge of ICT skills including how to operate the FMA, WMS systems for traceability of stock records.
- Ability to stay focussed and prioritise in a high pressure/fast environment.
- The ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures.
- Possess good observational skills to spot defective products.
- Ensuring allergen control is enforced.
- Must be able to operate both counterbalance and reach forklift trucks along with scissor lifts and have current licences in force.

**Hours**:

- **Nights** **Sunday - Thursday**:

- **Days Monday - Friday**

**Previous Experience**:

- Have previous experience in a similar role, operating a Reach truck.
- Be comfortable operating at heights.
- Hold either an in-house certificate within the last 6 months OR an external qualification which has been refreshed in the last 3 years.

**Pay**:

- Day shift - £11.25
- Night shift - £12.25

**Salary**: £11.25-£12.25 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Tamworth, B77 5DQ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
