As a Deputy Ward Manager you will have previous experience in a similar setting as a nurse, and have excellent knowledge in healthcare and managing people. You will be leading the nursing team and coordinating the wards, ensuring procedures are being followedand a safe environment is maintained.

You will have the responsibility of organising shifts, on-call rotas, managing the ward budgets, and will be an integral member of the team; offering your peers on-going guidance and training to ensure they have the necessary support system and skillset.

**Your Deputy Ward Manager Responsibilities**:

- Managing and training of junior and nurse staff.
- Supporting the implementation of local Clinical Governance Strategy.
- Actively contributing to the Nursing Service Agreement, departmental Risk Matrix and action plan and monitoring their
- implementation
- Lead in organisational clinical and nursing audit programmes

**To be successful as a Deputy Ward Manager, you will have**:

- RMN Qualification
- CAMHS Experience
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder & Learning Disorder experience
- Experience of working similar environment
- Relevant sufficient post registration experience.

Where you will be working

Location:?Rhodes Wood Hospital. Shepherds Way, Hatfield AL9 6NN

Join the team at Rhodes Wood Hospital providing care for children and young people aged 8-18 years with eating disorders or with learning disabilities who require residential care, working on tailored treatment programmes designed for the individual needsof each young person.

You will support a warm and nurturing environment, allowing for the understanding of symptoms, patterns and origins of psychological distress, and will actively encourage children to personalise bedroom spaces to make these feel like a home from home.

There is also an on-site Ofsted Registered school to support young people continue with their education while in hospital. Rhodes Wood Hospital is located on the outskirts of Hatfield, which is easily reachable by car.
