Quality and Performance Lead

**About the role**
This role will support the Head of Performance, QA and Engagement in the strategic development of the Performance and Quality Assurance function that spans across the children and family’s system.
The role will be responsible for development of an aligned Quality Assurance Framework based on best practice and the development of both the performance and Quality of Practice functions.
This role will be required to work with a variety of stakeholders and partners in supporting the Children and Families service to:
- Understand the needs of Staffordshire children, young people and their families;
- Translate those needs into definable outcomes;
- Enable the delivery of outcomes within available resources to achieve best value for money;
- Responsible for the Co-ordination and development of the self-evaluation process including partnership self-assessments
- Take a lead role in the inspection planning processes including partnership inspections
**Key Accountabilities**:
Take a strategic role in the management and development of the children and families Quality of Practice function
Take a strategic role in the management and development of the children and families Performance function
Take a lead role in the preparation and co-ordination of local authority and partnership inspections. Including, the development of partnership self-assessments
4. Develop and influence strong internal and external relationships/partnerships to deliver service development and to oversee improvement and/or change programs across the system with an emphasis on performance and Quality of Practice.
5. Lead, Empower, support, guide, mentor and coach senior managers, commissioners and practitioners to enable them to successfully implement and embed new initiatives particularly focusing upon complex Intelligence led data/performance and quality of practice.
6. Work restoratively with a range of stakeholders and complex interagency groups to ensure the development of effective and aligned strategies and support the embedding of intelligence led decision making and outcome-based performance across the children and family’s system.

**Qualifications/Professional membership**
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification or equivalent by experience.
- Post graduate qualification in a relevant specialism or evidence of substantial professional development.
**Knowledge and Experience**
- The post holder will be required to work with a degree of autonomy and will therefore need to demonstrate comprehensive and detailed knowledge of Quality of Practice and performance
- Demonstrable of front-line practice
- Demonstrable experience of performance management and a clear understanding of how performance and Quality Assurance impacts front line practice
- Knowledge of the planning and delivery of services in relation to children, families and communities
- Experience of managing complex teams’ team
- Knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection framework and the preparation involved
- Experience of successfully working with complex partners
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
