We are looking for a motivated Production Manager to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. Reporting directly to the Production Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involvedin all aspects of production within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team. The position will appeal toa strong manager looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
Role Description
- To assist the General Manager and Operations Manager with day-to-day operational issues, to ensure smooth running of the Production department.
- To be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of site-specific Key Performance Indicators, covering PPOH, Shorts, Rejects, Energy, Fuel, Salary and other key expenditure items.
- To assist with, in close consultation with the General Manager, Operations Manager and Site HR, employee personnel matters covering performance for all shift production staff.
- To be responsible and take an active role on the implementation of Health & Safety matters, ensuring that your department and those around you fully comply with all relevant legislation.
- To be responsible for managing all production staff within your remit, employee recruitment, welfare and any disciplinary issues, complying at all times to the relevant legislation in conjunction with your shift managers.
- To review, monitor and maintain systems to monitor overall staff productivity and performance.
- Monitor linen and other weekly stock checks.
- Assist with the supervision of general cleaning and other factory housekeeping duties.
- Ensure safe systems of work are implemented for all production staff in consultation with the General Manager and Operations Manager.
- Demonstrate clear leadership in retaining and encouraging key staff and develop professional integrity at all times.
- Adhere to strictest confidentiality standards with regards all Company financial and salary matters.
