Head Housekeeper

Are you a fan of routine and class yourself as a bit of a 'clean-freak'..? We need someone to lead our Housekeeping team efficiently and professionally, keeping all aspects of the housekeeping department running smoothly and ensuring our high standards are exceeded to deliver remarkable guest experiences. You’ll be capable of managing the day-to-day departmental operation including ensuring we are properly staffed and supervised as required, and that all rooms are cleaned according to the expected company standards, guaranteeing maximum comfort to our guests.

**As our Head Housekeeper, your main duties will be**:

- Making sure the quality of our housekeeping services are always superb: we have standards - but it’s down to you and the team to make the rooms and public areas look their best for our guests
- Managing day-to-day staffing needs, planning and assigning work to team members fairly
- Scheduling routine inspections of all guest rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, rooms, equipment, linens, public restrooms, lobby, etc. are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction
- Working with the Housekeeping Supervisors to develop the team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, creating performance and development goals for colleagues, and identifying good performance and recognising it as required
- Taking ownership of all critical departmental processes and being involved in resolving any Housekeeping related issues, managing stock control, HR processes and training, payroll etc.
- Previous experience in a senior hotel housekeeping position in a similar calibre property
- Attentive, professional customer service skills & be deemed a team-working champion
- The ability to manage a team with a 'leading from the front' approach

**About the Hotel**

Housed in the magnificent Grade II listed Central Buildings, dating back to 1884, the beautifully restored boutique hotel is steeped in history. The Beatles-inspired hotel features elegantly furnished and individually decorated rooms with specially commissioned artwork.

The hotel’s flagship restaurant, Blakes, is named after pop artist Sir Peter Blake who created the artwork for the cover of the Sgt Peppers album cover. Guests can indulge in a delicious meal whilst surrounded by wall to wall Beatles artwork. The hotel has 2 bars, Bar Four, one of Liverpool’s premier cocktail bars and The Lounge & Bar which hosts some of the city’s top acoustic musicians every Friday and Saturday night.
