Security Operations Specialist

Siteimprove is growing and so is our Security function. We are on a journey establishing a distributed architecture, scaling our world class hybrid cloud, both vertically and horizontally and want to strengthen the team with a Security Operations Specialist.

As a Security Operations Specialist at Siteimprove you will be part of the Security team, working with our Security Operations Manager, Information Assurance, GRC, internal Platform Operations, Platform Engineering and Global IT teams.

As a Security Operations Specialist, you will be part of the team responsible for using our security tools to hunt, investigate and contain security events. You will take an active role in the delivery of the platform roadmap, contributing skills and expertise to ensure we are able to detect and respond to any potential security event quickly through continuous improvement of use cases and security controls. You will make sure to stay on target with regards to deliveries by always stressing quality in all aspects of your work, and by prioritizing when necessary.

**What you'll be doing**:
As a Security Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Assessing and analysing data within our security platform to identify security events
- Using internal and external threat intelligence to proactively discover new attacks, or attacks currently under way
- Monitoring our business and platform systems to triage and correlate data for investigations in order to close down real time security events
- Determining any gaps in our security controls and working with operational teams to deploy necessary changes
- Working with resolver teams to contain and remediate any attack impact as quickly as possible

**What we require from you**:

- You are fluent in English both verbally and written
- Strong investigative mindset
- Ability to assess data and business information to find trends and root cause
- Strong understanding of security tools such as SOAR, SIEM and XDR
- Strong technical and hands-on experience
