**Nursery Room Leader**

**40 hours per week**

**Full Time, Permanent**

**Salary starting from £25,000 per annum**

**Ability to work varying shift patterns between 7.30am - 6.30pm**

**The Roehampton Day Nursery & Pre School **are looking for a Room Leader to join their team. Our nursery has a lovely family feel which makes it a wonderful place for children to grow, learn and play. As a Room Leader your purpose will be to assist management in providing the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children, and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with staff and parents.

**Nursery Room Leader main responsibilities include**:

- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
- Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
- Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

**Nursery Room Leader requirements and skills**:

- Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential
- Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - essential
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - essential
- Over 6 months’ experience working in a senior position - desirable
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - desirable

**Salary**: From £25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- London, SW15 4JY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Nursery: 2 years (preferred)
- Room Leader: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Level 3 Childcare Qualification (required)
