We are looking for an enthusiastic, competent, organised, and proactive person to work within our Facilities Team.

Our service area is responsible for the management and maintenance of Council properties to provide a safe working environment for GBC employees.

The purpose of the Facilities Supervisor role is to support the Facilities Team Leader in meeting all statutory, service and customer requirements and to ensure the safe day to day operations of Council buildings. This role is based at Woking Road depot and has line manager responsibility for staff within the depot and at other sites.

**Job Profile**

The key skills and experience we are looking for include:

- Experience of managing staff
- IT literacy and good keyboard skills
- Experience of using the MS office suite of software packages
- Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and working practices for premises
- Experience of working with databases and related systems is desirable
- Good working knowledge of quality systems and requirements is desirable
- Experience of developing specification schedules and arranging facilities contracts and the ongoing management of those contracts is desirable
- Experience of working in and developing partnerships with external bodies is desirable
- Knowledge and experience of project management is desirable
- Basic working knowledge of site management OR experience of site or facilities management
- Knowledge and understanding of Waste Management practices, and legislation, including appropriate health and safety practices is desirable
- Able to deal with suppliers, stores facilities and variety of contractors
- Able to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- Able to work on their own initiative
- Organizational and time management skills
