Valmiera Glass UK Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers in Europe of products based on glass fibre.

We have vacancies for Factory Operative in our factory in Sherborne.

**Overall function and description of the job**:

- Assist with the running of any machines in the finishing department.
- Communicate all faults and production area issues to the supervisor and/or assistant production manager.
- Follow and implement standard operating procedures, making and documenting adjustments where necessary, to improve the quality and/or efficiency of the machines.
- Make adjustments to machine controls when instructed to do so by the Technician, to improve quality and efficiency.
- Join fabric with heat sealer.
- Assist in removing rolls off the front of the machine.
- Undertaking training before working independently on machines.
- Cover tasks in other areas as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.82 per hour
