**Junior Medical Writer - TBWA WorldHealth London**

**About The Role**

TBWA\WorldHealth is looking for a junior medical writer to join our thriving medical team.

You’ll be working across huge blockbusters and teeny niche products to help us produce better content for our clients. Around 70% of our accounts are global; all are strong in creative and Disruptive® strategy.

As a junior medical writer, you will uphold the scientific truth of all the work that flows through TBWA\WorldHealth. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, language, style and layout, working with other teams (strategy/creative/client services) to produce accurate, consistent content to deadline and spec. As for the actual materials, the range is rather broad. We do the usual medical communications tactics like detail aids, leave pieces and congresses, but also do a lot of video, social and patient work. We’re not a medical education agency, so there won’t be any publications, and there is an opportunity to flex your creative muscles as far as you like.

You will report to the head of medical writing and be part of the medical team (there are eight of us at present).

TBWA\WH London has had a great couple of years. We’ve seen continued strong growth in a difficult climate and are set to grow again over the next year. The company currently has 60+ employees, working across oncology, neurology, rheumatology, inflammatory disease and haematology, plus a few more. Around 70% of our accounts are global; all are strong in creative and TBWA’s Disruptive® strategy.

Despite working remotely since COVID began, there’s still a real sense of community that everyone tries hard to maintain. There are also regular (mainly outdoor) social meets, as well as regular all-agency online events (both formal and informal).

There is no expectation of significant travel with this role. However, occasional travel to Europe and the US will be required.

With the future a little uncertain, no firm plans for a return-to-work policy to the Bankside offices (just behind Tate Modern) have been finalised. The buzzword being used by senior management on the topic is ‘flexibility’.

**Skills And Abilities**
- A strong scientific background — you don’t need to have a PhD or a master’s degree, but you’ll need to be able to demonstrate you’re a stronger writer if you don’t
- Excellent English language skills and the ability to adapt style to different materials, target audiences and therapy areas
- Adept at communicating clearly, working effectively, and collaborating with colleagues and teams from the same office as well as other offices
- Experience of online referencing and content management (i.e., Veeva Promomats) will work in your favour

**Qualifications And Experience**
- Minimum, degree-educated in science or medicine
- Medical communications agency experience would be a big bonus

**Character and Personal Qualities**
- Positive, ideally with a good sense of humour
- Enthusiastic, committed to delivering quality and exceeding expectations
- Highly organised and methodical, with a keen eye for detail
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Comfortable with working independently
