MacKenzie Kerr Ltd are firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers with offices in Inverness and Grantown on Spey.

Due to continuous growth, we are now looking for an ambitious individual to join our busy office in Inverness in the role of bookkeeping and payroll assistant. This role will primarily be the handling of bookkeeping work for our varied client portfolio covering a range of sectors, and will include helping our payroll department as required.

**Responsibilites**
- Posting sales and purchase invoices.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Supporting the client on bookkeeping and VAT queries
- Assisting our payroll department
- Contacting and liaising with clients.

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in Bookkeeping with AAT or ICB qualification or two years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
- Experience in preparing VAT returns.
- Experience in bookkeeping software such as Xero, Sage, Quickbooks, and Dext is desirable.
- Experience in RTI payroll processing for clients using payroll software is desirable.
- Have a pleasant manner with excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Have good attention to detail, the ability to prioritise workload and a positive attitude.
- Have willingness to learn, be a team player and be able to work with minimum supervision and to deadlines.
