Lead Driver

We are looking for a highly motivated team player to take the position of Full-time self-employed Lead Driver at Ecodrive Logistics. We have an excellent reputation for delivering exceptional customer experiences as well as packages across the Hull and East Yorkshire Region We are looking for a reliable, hard-working and passionate person who strives to work in a team environment and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

**Please Note**:
This role is mixed and but is not limited to Driving and Supervisory responsibilities. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company with a great team. Full paid training given to ensure you master the road with additional training on how to coach the team on office days.

**PLEASE NOTE**: This role will include working weekends/evenings, we need flexibility from any applicant. More detail can be discussed during interview.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist and Coach new and existing drivers
- Play a part in Onboarding new team members
- Organise and deliver additional coaching sessions
- Monitor and manage a team of delivery associates
- Assist with load outs
- Manage the cleaning of vehicles
- Report and schedule in vehicle maintenance when applicable
- Responsible for ensuring van audits are carried out, call out any remedial works and monitor progress of any repairs
- Record accurate records
- Cover last minute drop outs if/when required
- Assist with daily support and debrief
- Adhere to all safety regulations on the road
- Operate an electronic device for GPS and daily records
- Greet and interact with customers and our associates with a professional and positive attitude

**Requirements - what we are looking for**:

- Available and willingness to work weekends
- Ability to use stairs to deliver packages when required
- Able to lift and deliver packages up to 23kgs when required
- Commercial (or work-related) driving experience is a plus but not essential
- Approximate working hours per day are: 9 hours between 8am and 10pm
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Able to provide a good customer service
- No more than 6 points on driving licence
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Willingness to learn / Flexibility to work

Previous experience of driving a larger vehicle preferred but not essential.
