**About the role and our team**

Manx Care are looking for an Information Governance Officer to join their team

Within this role, you will act as liaison with managers and staff across the organisation to ensure that Information Governance policies and procedures are developed and implemented as per national and local legislation and regulation.

Day to day, your duties will include:

- Providing advice and assistance to applicants in order to discharge the responsibilities enforceable by the Information Commissioner.
- Providing advice on issues on Data Protection Law and relevant legislation and advise Information Asset Owners on Data Protection Law and compliance with their areas of responsibility.
- Supporting service areas with the formulation of data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).

We’re looking for someone who has experience of providing information and advice including the ability to communicate complicated and very sensitive information to varied audiences in person, on the telephone and in writing. You must have the ability to produce and present high quality reports and information to a range of audiences.
