SEMH Teaching Assistant - Havant, Portsmouth
Experienced Learning Support Assistants required - SEMH - ASAP start
Academics are recruiting on behalf of a school in Havant which caters for boys aged 11-16 years with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). A number of students also have a range of additional needs which include attachment disorder, attention deficitand hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC). All students have an EHCP.
SEMH Teaching Assistant - Havant, Portsmouth
You will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis and help nurture the long-term personal and academic needs of the students, helping to build their self-esteem and give them the confidence to face new challenges. Student's needs are metin a small, nurturing environment with a highly differentiated curriculum and exceptional student-staff relationships. The role is ideal with someone who has already had experience of working in an SEMH or SEN school, or on a 1:1 basis with children with challengingbehaviours.
This is a full-time, term-time position and they are looking for experienced Learning Support Assistants to join their team ASAP. This will be on an on-going, temporary to permanent basis.
Staff briefing starts at 8.30am. The school day finishes at 2.45pm.
