Job Title: Small Works Supervisor

**SRC Fire Safety Limited** is an established Fire & Life Safety Company based in Coleshill in the West Midlands. We continue to grow as a business and are now looking for a motivated Small Works Supervisor to join our existing team. We see this role as an ideal opportunity for a Fire Alarm Engineer looking to make a move into the office environment.

As the Small Works Supervisor, you will be expected to prepare quotations, source materials, organise labour and liaise with Customers. Support and guidance will be available from senior members of staff from other departments.

You will be responsible for the efficiency of the department and provide weekly progress and status reports for Management review, training will be provided on our internal systems and procedures.

We will work with you to hone your skills and provide honest and transparent feedback on where improvements can be made. Appraisals and package reviews are conducted annually.

We will initially also complete multiple ‘catch-ups’ over your first few months during your probationary period, to ensure you are fully aware of how you are performing.

**Key Responsibilities are as follows**:

- Assisting customers and managing their expectations
- Ensuring the smooth running of the small works
- Technical and logístical support to team members
- Assisting customers and managing their expectations
- Updating spreadsheets and internal systems
- Scheduling small works to engineers via our service desk
- Liaising with other departments to ensure fluidity throughout the business
- Reporting to management on a weekly basis

**Skills/Experience Required**:

- The ability to deliver customer service to the highest level
- A willingness to progress and grow with the business
- The ability to prioritise the department’s workload
- The ability to take ownership and responsibility for tasks, to ensure completion within deadlines set by management
- The ability to supervise engineers and make department decisions
- Experience in the Fire & Life Safety Systems industry (minimum of at least 3 years)
- Technical Knowledge of how Fire & Life Safety Systems operate
- Knowledge and understanding of all relevant British Standards
- The confidence to handle disputes with staff and customers
