Here at Jackson we are a big believer that happy people do a good job and, with key objectives to protect and enhance biodiversity and become net zero by 2035, we are looking for an Environmental Lead to join our QHSE team This role will be predominantly based at our regional office in Huntingdon and will require travelling to various sites, so a full UK driving licence is essential. There will also be an opportunity for some home working.

**The Main Duties for this role are**:

- To help develop and lead the environmental strategy for the business, including areas such as carbon, biodiversity and waste.
- To lead on the delivery of the environmental objectives.
- Environmental data management, analysis and reporting, including carbon reporting.
- Ensuring business compliance with company requirements and environmental legislation and regulations across a range of projects.
- Supporting projects and providing environmental advice with regard to design, legal compliance and construction.
- Leading environmental site inspections and internal audits.
- Supporting external audits for ISO 14001, sustainable timber and carbon.
- Looking for opportunities to drive improvements and deliver training where required.
- Acting as a point of contact for environmental matters with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulators.

**Are you the person we are looking for?**

You will ideally have a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM) and have experience in environment assessment and impact management. This role will involve the communication of ideas throughout the organisation so the ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders is essential.

Knowledge and experience of the following would also be beneficial:
ISO 45001 & ISO 9001
