**Transport Coordinator**

**Reporting into**: National Transport Manager

**Location**: Head Office - Dakota House (Manchester)

**Full time**: 40 hours Per week *Can be offered as a HYBRID agreement.

**Overview of role**

The Transport Coordinator will report directly to the National Transport Manager and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest fleet standards are achieved, and customer expectations are fulfilled. You will take ownership of your work and be accountablefor your output. You will ensure that all enquiries relating to the commercial fleet is dealt with to the highest of standards dealing with any issues in the first instance. This role will require communication of daily/weekly issues, identifying any areasof concern, alongside liaising with Car and Van suppliers, and assisting with queries.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Arranging spot-hire, mini or long-term lease of appropriate vehicle for internal customers
- Fuel card management - ensuring records are updated and charged to correct internal cost centres, adding new cards, and cancelling cards for returned vehicles
- Actioning feedback from members of public/customers to how company vehicles are driven
- Ensuring Motor Insurance Database is updated for all vehicles owned, leased or hired
- Accident reporting, investigation, and progression of claims with insurers.
- Periodic licence checks for company vehicle drivers
- Investigating Notices of Intended Prosecution, and Fines, attributing to correct colleague
- Arranging payment for bridges, tolls, congestion zones, and allocating correctly
- Arranging vehicle servicing, tax and MOT and maintaining records
- Responding to Compliance issues
- Being proactive in your work approach to ensure that all tasks are completed
- Checking hire, lease, fuel, toll, maintenance, and insurance costs and sending for approval
- Covering team absence, or other transport activity, when appropriate

- Prior experience of fleet / operations and / or legislation would be advantageous but not essential
