An established IT support and service organisation with clients across the South of England is looking for an experienced 3rd Line IT Support and Projects Engineer with at least 5 years+ of experience to join their team in East Grinstead. There will be UKtravel to client sites in the region when needed.

**You'll need to**
- Handle issues escalated to you from the Service Team for your clients
- Complete technical design, delivery and documenting of projects for your group of clients

**About the Role**

They will be able to follow a logical path to problem resolution whilst managing their workload and documenting client system work in support of the wider team.

**Required skills**:

- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as support the team
- Good communications skills
- Ability to delegate and escalate
- Ability to problem solve in a logical manner
- Efficient, well organised, and able to prioritise
- Able to manage projects, update stakeholders, and manage risk
- Full Driving Licence

**Valued Knowledge & Experience**:

- Microsoft-based networks for small to medium sized organisations
- Microsoft 365, operating/delivering modern workplace services and tools
- Virtual Apps and Desktops (Citrix, Microsoft)
- Microsoft Exchange (all supported versions)
- Microsoft Active Directory/Authentication
- Virtualisation knowledge - Hyper-V/XenServer /VMWare
- Storage Appliances/SAN
- Local and wide-area networking
- Phone systems
- Administering database systems such as Microsoft SQL

**Education**:
Maths and English qualifications equivalent to GCSE C or above.

**Qualifications**:
One or more of the following are valuable, although progress towards one or more of these will be taken into consideration:

- CompTIA qualifications, past apprenticeship success
- Vendor qualifications from Microsoft, Citrix, Sophos, Cisco, Veeam

**Narrative**:
Members of the TAM Team will have the skills expected of a 3rd Line Engineer, combined with the experience that comes with design & deployment of customer systems. They will be able to document for, advise and guide the Service Team on how to ensure customersystems are maintained to a consistent and acceptable standard, as well as provide technical escalation when operation of those systems requires their greater depth of knowledge or client familiarity.
