**About you**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Ability to conduct high standard research, analyse evidence and data, with the capability to translate complex technical evidence into easily understandable information.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to disseminate key information, using the most appropriate methods to reflect the needs of the audience.
- An ability to build relationships and coordinate input from others to build a consensus, able to influence others.
- Knowledge of the challenges facing the sector as well as the Welsh political and economic environment.
- Experience in writing and analysing reports and briefings.

**What you’ll do**

As the Research Officer (RO) at Trivallis you will:

- Help create a culture that puts the customer at the centre of all decisions.
- Ensure positive promotion of Trivallis as a Community Mutual.
- Help create an environment that supports innovation and staff empowerment.
- Help deliver the Trivallis Vision & Purpose through the Corporate Plan, Financial Strategy, Value for Tenant and other relevant plans and strategies as they develop.
- Work across the business to ensure the involvement of all teams.
- Live the values of the organisation.
- Ensure that research underpins and informs all aspects of Trivallis activity.

The Research Officer will help to inform and influence strategy and policy development by conducting regular research, horizon scanning and undertaking sector analysis. Working alongside stakeholders they will translate findings into the context of Trivallis’ priorities and services, supporting the organisation to make informed decisions and be resilient to known and emerging risks and challenges.

**What you’ll be responsible for **
- Leading a high-quality research programme that informs strategy and policy development, self-evaluation and other internal delivery plans.
- Influencing strategic decisions and ensuring Trivallis’ Board and Leaders maintain an up-to-date understanding of Trivallis’ external context, operating environment and sector risks.
- Developing and maintaining a public voice for Trivallis and the policy function.
