Best known for its tasty range of crisps, Kent Crisps is recognised both locally and nationally for producing a range of delicious Kentish flavour crisps, Kentish Oils and Condiments for its Kentish Cold-Pressed Rapeseed Oil and A Little Bit for its innovative, vegan-friendly, fresh herbs condiments range.

**Finance Assistant**

**Start Date: Immediate**.

**What to expect (Roles & Responsibilities)**

**Ensure the finance department delivers timely & accurate financial reporting, planning and analysis to enable the management team to understand, manage and deliver the company's cash and profit performance goals.**

Responsibility One:
All company accounts, bank reconciliations, creditors, debtors and payroll payments are completed accurately and on time.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely recording of all supplier invoices, credit notes and expenditure within our system, ensuring scanned invoice copies are uploaded to Paperless Bills within our accounts system.
- The nominal structure is fit for purpose, accurate and allocations are correct
- Responsible for ensuring creditor payments are signed off and weekly payment runs are successfully executed
- Customer invoicing is accurate and timely
- All balance sheet accounts are reconciled

Responsibility Two:
The Management team have all the departmental and overall business management information required to understand and manage cash and profit performance as well as the correct information and analysis to make informed and timely business decisions.
- Weekly and monthly customer sales, gross margin and company performance management information is reported accurately and timely.
- Preparation of the month end management accounts, including expense, fixed asset and payroll analysis, as well as posting of journals
- Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to produce rolling forecast of production as well as RM usage and required RM stock levels.
- Weekly reporting on company cash balances to Management Team.

Responsibility Three:

- Daily posting of customer bank receipts, ensuring all are correctly allocated against invoices and credit notes
- Weekly review of debtors report and sales ledger, assessing customers requiring chasing and then actioning
- Escalating to appropriate sales staff and Directors when necessary, as well as putting customers on hold when needed
- Monthly statement run to customers

KPI
- Management Information reports and packs on time and accurate.
- Customer, supplier and nominal ledgers are accurate, tidy and up to date.
- Debtor Days are below the KPI target set.

**Who we are looking for?**
- AAT or equivalent qualification required
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot table reporting
- Confident when dealing with customer and suppliers
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organised
- 2-3 years’ experience within an accounts-based role
- Preferable to have experience of sales, purchase ledger and bank from prior roles

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.
