Homeless Intervention Key Worker
This is an exciting opportunity to join the fight for mental health and wellbeing across Cwm Taf Morgannwg and play a vital role within our communities.
Homelessness does not discriminate and neither do we. But sadly, homelessness has a disproportionate impact on people living with mental health issues and challenges, such as living with unaddressed trauma, or co-occurring substance misuse.
Our Homelessness Intervention Key Workers are a lifeline to people who find themselves homeless from all walks of life. They work hard to ensure that the people we serve receive access to housing related support in their time of need, and ultimately leave, short
- term temporary accommodation for somewhere safe and secure that they can call home.
We are now recruiting one Homelessness Intervention Key Worker to offer life-changing, homelessness related support to homeless people in hostels, shared houses and B&Bs across Rhondda Cynon Taf, Local Authority. You will need to be sensitive to people’s communication needs, experienced in delivering person-centred support and resilient.
In return: You will receive line management from our committed, Housing Lead, as well as access to training and wellbeing support.
Our ambition is to ensure that anyone in need of help to access housing and mental health support can access an effective, compassionate, and professional service from Cwm Taf Morgannwg Mind or a key partner from the NHS or other third sector providers. This is where you come in.
If you have the skills, compassion, experience, and dedication to end the cycle of homelessness one person at a time: Then we would love to hear from you.
